Striated Pardalote

The Striated Pardalote is a fabulous little bird. You'll normally hear its distinctive
'chew, chew, chew' call before you see it.

When: You'll see them around Caloundra on and off for most of the year, usually beside waterways. It's here they make their nests in creek bank tunnels or in tree hollows.

You can enlarge any of the photos by clicking on them.

Here's a little poem.
